Product Update - 10/27/2021

Oct 30th 2021

Hello again friends,

Been a little while since my last update while I've been working with the Invader Beta team to work through some things. If you're wondering how that's going, head on over to the dev blog and check out the latest news there. You're not here for that though, you wanna know where your kits are right? Here's the latest:

FDM-9 Complete Triggers:

I have all the components for these, I just need to assemble them. Nothing stopping me from doing that but there's no rush on that since all of the orders I have for them are bundled with the FDM-9 hardware kits. I've discontinued the complete 3D-Printed trigger assemblies. I've discovered that I would not be able to keep up with them due to the manual labor involved of providing a product I consider good enough to provide you as a product you pay actual money for. I'm looking at alternatives to continue providing a completed trigger assembly in the future so stay tuned.

FDM-9 Completion Kit:

The springs I had on order are completely lost and it doesn't look like I'll be seeing a replacement. I've decided that Lee Spring isn't worth the hassle of working with any more so I ordered a few more options from McMaster-Carr in hopes that they're good enough, or at least small enough to double up on to get them working. I should get those on Friday. I'm also tinkering a bit with the brace/check rest interface in hopes of getting it working a bit more fluidly.

Invader PDW Kit:

My friends, the time is nigh. I'll be receiving the bars from Riptide Rails tomorrow. I need to make one last-minute adjustment to the design to make the complete design work as intended. As you know, up to this point there was no real way to make the brace stop before flinging itself from the frame. I worked on several different ways to get this working and unfortunately the only solution I could find that wasn't over-engineered was to add screws to the front of the bars. I have more details about this in my latest dev blog post, but it requires another hole in the bars that isn't currently there, so I'll have to add it myself before I ship them to you. At this point I've printed all the labels and pre-packed the first 20 orders. Once I finish updating the bars, I'll ship them right out to you all, you should expect them in your hands next week. I'm looking forward to seeing all of your builds.

If you were one of the few that ordered the PDW kit in addition to the FDM-9 kit in the same order, then I regret to inform you that I won't be able to ship your Invader kits until the FDM kits are ready, however, if you'd like to modify your order to remove the FDM kits, I can go ahead and refund you the difference and queue you up for the next batch of bars, which I should be receiving in the next week or so.

Thanks again for your patience everyone,
